The Lao Jia

The Lao Jia is the first form of Chen style Tai Chi. It is the stylešs foundation training that prepares students for the second form, Pao Chui.
Lao Jia develops, strength, whole body unity, the basic flavor of Chen Style, and chan si jin (silk reeling energy). At this level of training, movement is primarily slow and soft, with an emphasis on relaxation; although some fa jin (power issuing) is also included.
